Your opinion on jeans sizing?

Dear Friends,
I need your help! The last couple of months things have fiiiiinally changed and normal sized people are giving me some love! So let's do this, let's together decide on the sizing.

Ravishing Mad is still a small brand and it's oh so expensive to produce a stock of jeans in all our different colours and styles. The first couple of seasons most stores that bought from us were only interested in women's sizes 26",27",28",29" and they even started asking for smaller sizes. I did produce size 30" anyway but rarely sold any of those until just recently (and now I have only 1 pair of 30" left in the webshop). This phenomena seemed incredibly odd to me, but then again I couldn't afford to keep a stock of something that no one showed any interest in.

So, will you please be a sweetheart and give me some suggestions on sizes for High Rise? Legs are always long to make sure they fit as many as possible, it's easier to shorten than lengthen, right? Waist size last season was 25",26",27",28",29",30" and I'm adding 31" and 32" for sure, but the question is: is there any interest out there for more sizes, and in that case which???

Please fill the comment field below with all your thoughts (at the bottom of this post), and you'll MAKE MY DAY!

  1. ''They even started asking for smaller sizes''? Who are these people, so many so tiny? But surely they're out there, if the shops ask for the sizes.
I'm not a great help here at all, don't even know the inch size system. All I know is I'm a size 10 on a good day. So whatever that is, do that size! What I hear from designers/shop-owners here in Copenhagen, is that customers often find the available sizes too small, and sometimes end up leaving it altogether coz they find the biggest size too tight. (Mind you, this is mainly reg. dresses and all-in-one suits.)

  2. Thank you Kat! I agree, jeans sizes are a jungle. Vibskov store just told me customers are asking for bigger sizes and that 26-28 just scares them off. But other than that I think most stores aren't aware and buy far to small sizes...

  3. FJ, thank you, we do size 29,30,31,32,33,34 for men, but haven't so far received any requests on more sizes...I'm guessing it's ok?

  4. I wear 32, sometimes 31. Different brands. I don't think it's that hard to find my size in stores.

  6. Lollo, CC, it's a good thing you say that. It means I really have to make at least up to 32. Is there anyone out there that thinks bigger than that is needed?

  8. I made jeans in 27 for a fashion show, only one of the models could wear them... so I guess 25 is for children. :)
